Gunmen take scores hostage at southern Russia school
Although the news agencies can't bring themselves yet to mention it, the modus operandi conclusively points to Islamic terrorists.
And updates indicate there may be over 300 hostages.
What is it they want? In a large sense?
If we just listen to what they say, it's quite clear. They've even calculated it all out.
They simply want to kill millions of children.
National Review Online reports that
In June 2002, al-Qaeda spokesman, Suleiman Abu Gheith, published an article on the alneda website that claimed: "We have the right to kill four million Americans -- 2 million of them children -- and to exile twice as many and wound and cripple hundreds of thousands."Remember Abu Gheith? The annoying chubby one who would introduce bin Laden and Zawahiri in those early videos.
That's not something to negotiate with. Like what, we'll talk them down to only killing 1 million American children?
Then what is to be done? How to answer this abomination?
