Update 1950 28 Nov: Check fire. It turns out the item discussed below, while sold at and apparently licensed by the Post Office, is actually from a company called
American Stamp Collectibles, so the USPS probably shouldn't be held responsible for their error.

A submariner E-mailed with a scan of a Postmark Gallery he bought at his post office for $29.95 that honors the U.S. Navy. It has a picture of a submarine on it:

He thought the picture of the submarine didn't look like any American submarine he'd ever seen, so he did some digging, and found
the picture they used on the montage:

As most submariners can tell, that's not an American boat. In fact, it's a South Korean Type 209/1200
Chang Bogo-class sub, apparently the
Nadaeyung (SS 069). (
